Jere goal earns Warriors a point against Blades

Jere scored his second goal of the season

Silon Jere was on target for the second home game in a row as Warriors were held to another 1-1 draw by Konkola Blades in week 7 of the FAZ Super League on Saturday 20 May 2017

Warriors came from another 1-1 draw at Mufulira Wanderers as Chintu Kampamba sees his side battling for relegation early on.

The  home started on a bright note with Lameck Kafwaya heading over from close range in the 5th minute.

But it was the visitors who took the lead againts the run of play through William Chinyama on 15 minutes.

The home side however, drew level in the 37 th minute thanks to Silon Jere's fancy over-head kick.

The teams headed into the break at 1 all, the momentum thrown in favor of the home side.

Nicholas Mulilo was having a quiet game but nearly put Warriors in front when played through in behind  the Konkola Blades defence but just couldn't keep his shot down as it sailed over.

And reacting after the match, Kabwe Warriors skipper Moonga Chilimba told kabwewarriorsfc.com, that the team must keep on working.

“Obviously we wanted to win the match, the boys are working hard everyday but we just look to the next game,” He said.
