Warriors suffer defeat to Forest at home

Kabwe Warriors suffered a 1-0 home defeat to Forest Rangers in a Week 2 MTN Super League match played at Railway Stadium on Saturday afternoon.

The Magnificent Peoples team were looking for the first victory of the season having drawn their first game at Nkana in Week 1.

Coach George Lwandamina maintained his faith in Scot Ngokene between the sticks with Marcel Kalonda partnering Kilian Kanguluma in the absence of Dominic Chanda in defense. Cephas Mulombwa, Jimmy Ndhlovu and Tapson Kaseba were tasked to lead the atttack.

Playing in front of a home crowd the Blues failed to find the back of the net in the first 45 minutes and neither could Rangers.

However, the visitors went in front in the 60th minute of the second half, Chitoshi Chinga tapping in from a corner.

A defeat for Warriors in the first home match on the season.
